Department/Unit: Operating Room Work Shift: Evening New graduates are welcome to apply for this position as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. The role involves assessing, coordinating, planning, and managing the needs of surgical patients throughout their care, with a focus on progress toward discharge. Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, assessing patient needs and responses to care, and ensuring standards of professional nursing are maintained. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a professional nursing program, holds a current NYS Registered Nurse license, and has 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in the surgical setting. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, and CNOR certification is preferred. The surgical care program at Albany Medical Center is rapidly growing to meet the needs of patients, with state-of-the-art operating suites and advanced robotic technology.
