• Job Details
• Epic experience REQUIRED
• Competency test required within 48 hours of submission, sent via candidate's email
• 2 Years of ICU staff experience required
• The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU) has a combined total of 30 intensive care beds
• The focus of care includes patients with life-threatening conditions related to major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, seizure, sepsis/multi-organ system failure, hemodynamic instability, and failure to wean
• SICU-Neuro ICU nurses require a skill set including ICP monitoring, spinal drains/catheters, brain oxygen monitoring, and more
• Nursing will support on-unit procedures including placement of arterial lines, central lines, external ventricular drains, and more
• MUST have competency with EVDs, bolts, ICP management along with experience with trauma and complex surgical patients

      • Usual 50/50 split of patient population between the neuro and surgical patient population
      • Focus of care includes life-threatening conditions such as major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multi-trauma, etc
      • Nurses support on-unit procedures such as placement of arterial lines, central lines, etc
