Job Description:

The Clinical Educator functions as a leader in education, a staff development resource, and mentor. He/she supports collaboration between the academic and practice settings. He/she supports continuous learning and professional development through provision of in-services; education program development, implementation, and evaluation; and competency assessment. He/she promotes and demonstrates evidence based practice.

  • 5 Years clinical experience in nursing in hospital setting to include 3 Years of department/unit/specialty specific experience. - - - -
  • Previous educational nursing instructor experience preferred.Required Licenses/Certifications

    • Current Vermont RN and/or Advanced Practice Licensure in Vermont. - - - -
    • Unit-specific training certifications as required per specific department operational framework (i.e., CNOR, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NRP, PCCN, CCRN). - - - -
    • Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines. - - - -
    • BLS Certification through American Heart Association. - - - -
    • Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development and 1 unit specific certification preferred or obtained within two years of hireRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
