Clinical Nurse III: Med/Surg Hospitalist E3, 36 hrs/week, Days at Albany Medical Center summary: The Clinical Nurse III in the Med/Surg Hospitalist department provides compassionate care to patients while implementing physician orders, administering medications, and performing various treatments. This role requires assessing and evaluating patient needs and collaborating with the nursing team to establish care plans. Additionally, the nurse maintains professional standards and directs ancillary personnel, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Hospitalist - E3 Work Shift: Weekend_Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 The Clinical Nurse contributes to the creation of a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening. • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
