-.About Our Internship Program:Throughout your internship, you will
have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive
customized training from our business units. This is a unique
opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of
Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will
gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the
opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.
Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong
interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence.
Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.The Job:During your
internship, you will have the opportunity to support Industrial
Design with key activities including:
- Assist in delivering new concept direction, brand-specific
aesthetics, and optimized ergonomic solutions for all new product
development across a wide range of global brands.
- Support other industrial designers by creating photorealistic
renderings and animations of new product designs using 3D Cad and
Keyshot Rendering software.
- Work with and support our UX/UI team. Projects will consist of
on-product user interface, embedded displays, and digital
applications.
- Help drive breakthrough industrial design advancement through
to our customers on various projects, utilizing the best technology
available for the process.
- Work with the Industrial Designers and other disciplines to
create original designs that capture the desired intent of the
team.You will have exposure to several areas of the Industrial
Design at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety
of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of
professionals.The Person:The ideal Industrial Design intern
candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of
2026 or 2027.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design
or related field.
- Maintains strong academic credentials.
- Experience in 2D analog /digital sketching and rendering
(Cintiq, Photoshop, Sketchbook)
- Knowledge of parametric 3D modeling is a plus (CATIA,
Solidworks, Alias, Rhino, etc.)
- Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular
