TeamFull-TimeSpringfield, MA or Boston, MAThe OpportunityAs a
member of the Income Annuity Pricing team, you will help support
the product management and pricing of MassMutual's
multibillion-dollar annuity business. -You will work in a
collaborative environment partnering with a diverse group of
stakeholders representing product, sales, marketing, technology,
and risk management. - This role will largely focus on the rate
implementation of MassMutual's full annuity suite with a secondary
focus on pricing support for the income annuity business.The
TeamThe Annuity Pricing team is a motivated group dedicated to
maintaining our position as a market leader in the annuity space.
In this role you will primarily interact with the Annuity Product
team, distribution (Career Agency and third party), marketing,
technology, and corporate oversight teams. - The role will report
to the Director of Income Annuity Pricing. -The Impact
- Lead the end-to-end annuity rate implementation process,
ensuring both accuracy and efficiency
- Drive process improvements and partner with Product Marketing
to streamline and enhance the rate implementation process
- Serve as the data steward for annuity pricing, maintaining data
integrity, and ensuring the accuracy of pricing models and
assumptions
- Support the rate setting of income annuities by providing
insights and recommendations to optimize profitability and
competitiveness
- Evaluate pricing for large case requests
- Support the pricing review and approval process with both
Corporate Actuarial and Product
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to grow and optimize the
income annuity suiteThe Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, actuarial science, economics,
finance, or related discipline
- 3+ years of actuarial, financial, pricing or related
experience
- 2+ years of advanced knowledge of Excel (advanced features
including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc)The Ideal Qualifications
- 5+ years of actuarial, financial, pricing or related
experience
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including
experience in Prophet, SQL, and Alteryx.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, critical thinking,
and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written,
verbal, presentation) with an ability to convey technical ideas to
non-technical audiences
- Comfortable dealing with both complexity and ambiguity, with
ability to explore multiple solutions to a problem
- Demonstrated initiative and has a sense of urgency; takes
ownership and is results-oriented in a fast-paced work
environment
- Passion for process improvement/development
- Knowledge of annuity products and pricingWhat to Expect as Part
